Lake Tahoe Residence Design by TGH Architects

This residence located on the eastern side of Lake Tahoe, designed to shelter a large family who want to recall their fond summer memories and incorporate their knowledge of the Tahoe micro-climate. This residence have two part of houses, the main house and guest house nestle in among existing pine and fir trees and form a wind-protected courtyard that opens up to the forested hill beyond. The front of the house leads to Lake Tahoe, designed transparent glass window designs, especially on the second floor provides a view of Lake Tahoe. The building is designed with natural materials. The interior features many sustainable materials, including reclaimed oak floors and recycled glass counter tops, on the exterior – log columns, cedar shingles and a zinc roof – help the houses merge into the landscape of the high Sierra.
